Just last week the university’s alumni association hosted events for students to order their cap and gowns as well as class rings. On Sunday, Ja. 28, students will have the opportunity to shop for business attire to wear to their graduation ceremony and future job interviews.
To make it easier for graduating seniors, JCPenney partnered with the University of Georgia Career Center to host an event that will allow students to shop for business outfits at a discounted rate, as reported in The Red & Black.

Dawgs Suit Up will be set up at JCPenney in Georgia Square Mall today from 5:30-9 p.m. The store will be closed to the public during that time, allowing students exclusive access to a wide selection of professional attire at 40 percent off with a valid student ID.
UGA faculty, staff and alumni will be at the event to answer any questions students may have about their wardrobe choices for interviews.
JCPenney team members will also be available to assist students with finding appropriate sizes, offering “insights into the latest career fashion trends,” and discussing “how a suit should fit, how to tie a tie and more,” the press release said.
Students attending the event will also have a chance to win a free mini makeover at the Sephora inside JCPenney. Free salon consultations and express bar hair touch ups will also be available for students.
With the discount, the press release said men can “easily purchase a Stafford suit jacket and pants, shirts, ties, belts and shoes” all for under $200. Women will be able to “buy a Worthington suit jacket, skirt, shirt and shoes for under $100.”
The last time the event occurred was in September.
