“I feel really fortunate to be working as an assistant district attorney,” Scott said in a brief interview. “I am grateful to Mr. Bradley for believing in me to have offered me this job.”
Scott added that he is eager to begin his transition into practicing law and helping to make a difference in his community. Bradley said he is pleased to have Scott on his team.
“I think he’s going to do a fine job for us,” Bradley said. “I am really glad to have him working with us in our Jones County office.”
Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Allison Burrelson recently swore Scott into office as an assistant district attorney during a special ceremony in one of the courtrooms of the Baldwin County Courthouse. The following year, Scott, who earned his Eagle badge while serving as a member of the Boy Scouts, enrolled in Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in Macon. While there, Scott frequently participated in activities with the Black Law Student Association and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.
During his final semester, Scott worked for Georgia Court of Appeals Judge M. Yvette Miller. Scott went on to graduate from Mercer Law School cum laude in the top 21 percentile of his class.
