Beer run in Mississippi DOT Law Enforcement Truck caught on camera

Best DUI defense lawyer in Athens, GAPONTOTOC, Miss. —A viewer took pictures of a group of women putting beer inside a Mississippi Department of Transportation truck. Jill Jones posted pictures on Facebook that showed three women wearing plain clothes putting beer into the law enforcement truck at the Kangaroo gas station in Pontotoc Saturday. None of the women had on an MDOT uniform, and there is no word whether or not they are MDOT employees.

Jones said, “A government vehicle with alcohol in it? Does that mean the highway patrol can carry coolers of beer with their family members or our sheriff’s department or our EMTs?” MDOT released a statement that said, “MDOT does not tolerate the misuse of state property. This is a personnel matter, and it is being investigated through MDOT and State of Mississippi procedures for human resources action.”

MDOT releases statement: “MDOT DOES NOT TOLERATE THE MISUSE OF STATE PROPERTY. THIS IS A PERSONNEL MATTER, AND IT IS BEING INVESTIGATED THROUGH MDOT AND STATE OF MISSISSIPPI PROCEDURES FOR HUMAN RESOURCES ACTION.” M-DOT SAYS THEY WILL TAKE ACTION AGAINST ANYONE FOUND VIOLATING STATE VEHICLE POLICIES.
